Leadership Team

Emma Dallimore

Chief Executive
I joined the organisation eleven years ago. When I started I knew very little about mental health and I still learn something new every day. My job has changed immensely over the years. I started as a team lead and very recently have achieved my dream job of Chief Executive. Every day is different and I love it!

I feel fortunate to be doing this job and leading such a fantastic organisation. One of my main drivers is to ensure that we are the very best we can be and that we offer people an excellent service to help them recover and lead fulfilling lives.

In my spare time I love to spend time in the Peak District or on the Yorkshire Moors hill walking (and lunching afterwards) with my family.

Eamonn Gaspar

Director of Finance
I joined North East Lincolnshire Mind in February 2020. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant many years ago, I spent most of my career in finance and business consultancy working in many different industries across several countries.

I moved into the charitable sector after spending 10 years as a Trustee for a large homeless charity. That experience made me realise how much more rewarding it is to work full time in a sector that makes a real difference to peoples’ lives. I feel privileged to work for such a wonderful organisation that does so much to support the local community.

Joining Hull and East Yorkshire Mind also meant relocating to the East Riding, something my wife and I should have done years ago. It’s a beautiful part of the county and we love spending our time enjoying the countryside and wildlife. It has inspired me to take up photography again!

Lyndsey McClements

Director of Operations
I joined North East Lincolnshire Mind in 2018 as a Team Leader in the Vocational Support Services and was instantly impressed by the dedication and enthusiasm of the team here. I have worked in the voluntary sector for the majority of my career mainly in the fields of substance misuse and mental health.

I did a variety of jobs after leaving school, including filing records in a doctor’s surgery and as a sales assistant in shops, never really sure of what I wanted to do. However, after attending a free taster session at Hull College I became fascinated with the subject of Psychology and went on to complete a BSc in this subject through the Open University. Alongside my studies I was lucky enough to secure a job in Her Majesty’s prisons using Cognitive Behavioural Techniques to deliver Offending Behaviour Programmes including Enhanced Thinking Skills and CALM (Controlling Anger and Learning to Manage it) subsequently becoming an accredited tutor. I continue to use psychological techniques on a daily basis and firmly believe that how we think about things affects how we feel and how we behave.

Recently I returned to college and completed a Diploma in Human Resource Management, which I undertook in order to complement my management experience and gain an understanding of how staff can best be supported in the workplace.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, quizzing and getting out to see live music.

Sam Bell

Director of Operations
I left school in 1993 with A ‘levels in Art, Textiles and Fashion Design, I started my working life in 1993 by undertaking a City and Guilds in retail in a local fabric and textiles shop. Alongside this I designed and produced handmade knitwear and clothes for customers. I then went on to work in our family run florist shop and learnt the trade over the next few years until I decided to completely change career.

In 1998 I enrolled at the University of Humberside and completed a degree in Social Science, during this time I volunteered at the Hull Citizens Advice Bureau and Also at Barnardo’s as a family group conference supporter. My volunteering experience enabled me to apply to the University of Hull where I studied for the next three years for an MA in Social Work specialising in Women’s work, housing and mental health. I also gained a supplementary postgraduate certificate after successfully completing extra study modules in research methods.

My first job after graduating in Social Work was as a Safe Women’s Worker at the Bransholme Women’s Service but unfortunately due to funding the position closed. I applied to Hull and East Yorkshire Mind in 2010 and was successful for the post of Housing Support Worker. During the first two years I was given the opportunity to act as On Site Supervision for Social Workers in Training and eventually gained a certificate in Practice Education at the University of Lincolnshire. After two years I moved to senior housing worker and am now Mind am now in the Director of Operations position and still loving every minute.

Dan Warren

Director of Development
I joined the organisation in January 2020 following 20 years in regional management, team leadership, account management and sales across a variety of sectors. The last 13 years have seen a focus in recruitment, education and welfare working for social enterprises and charities and a multi-national recruitment business.

My passion lies in helping to support people reach their full potential. I aim to develop relationships that create opportunities for people to connect who ordinarily wouldn’t have done and to build on those relationships for long term success.

I am really looking forward to working across Hull, East Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire regions to increase the reach of the fantastic work we do and sharing the many successes we will have.

I have four children, two of which are grown up and two who attend the primary school where I have recently become a governor. In my spare time I like to run increasingly longer distances at increasingly slower paces in a variety of settings from the North York Moors to the streets of Hull.
I’m a fan of Leeds United and enjoy cycling and a good pizza (although not at the same time).
